The Synagogue Church

A hall from the Crusaders period, that is next to the "Gospel’s Church" of the Greek Catholics, in the heart of the Nazareth market. According to the Christian tradition this was the synagogue where Jesus prayed. The hours of the activity were on Sundays – Saturdays between 8:00 – 19:00.

The Catholic Gospel’s Church - the largest and most dominant basilica in Nazareth, was the largest church in the Middle East, and one of the most meritorious and luxurious in the world. Opening hours between 8:00 – 18:00.
The New Mary Center

In Mary Center you can watch a movie in 10 languages about Mary’s life story. The center includes a chapel, a prayer and communion areas, sitting halls, cafeteria and a book shop. 1st century archaeological remnants were discovered next to the center.

Mount Precipice is located at the entrance to the city coming from Afula. The Jewish National Fund conducted development jobs in the mountain and it is recommended to arrive to the organized parking lot on the mountain and walk on the paved pathway.
The Sicilian Church

The church is located on the highest peak in the west of the city, and is seen from far. One of the largest and luxurious churches in Nazareth. It was built in a Romanesque style in the year 1923. From here you can have an observation point and start a walking trip.
Saint Joseph Church

Close to the Gospel’s basilica & built on the remnants of the agricultural apparatus. According to the tradition here, the carpentry was conducted by Joseph, the husband of Miriam. The current church was built in the year 1914. The activity hours throughout the week are 8:00-19:00

They began to appear in Nazareth in the 19th Century in new homes of the wealthy Nazareth residents, who were merchants, landowners and clerks in the Ottomanic management. These wealthy people wanted to show their wealth and different lifestyle.
The Monastery of the Nazareth Nuns

In the area of French Almaran a nun’s association was established in Nazareth. In the year 1850, when the Latin patriarch opened its doors for the second time, the patriarch sent one of the priests to the French city Lyon in search of the nuns.
The Maroon Church

The entrance is located next to the Manza Christy Church in the Latin neighborhood. The building of the church was completed in 1744. Hours of activity: 10:00 – 17:00 with activity days Monday till Saturday.
The Greek Orthodox Gospel Church

A Greek Orthodox church that is built above the water source of Miriam Spring (the water source from the Crusader period), this is on the basis of the tradition the Angel Gabriel announced to Miriam that she will give birth to his son. In the church there were interesting icons and wall drawings.
